TV Flashback 1985 (Wednesday)

televisionIt’s time again to take a look back at the television shows we were watching 25 years ago. This time, we’ll see what was on the tube on Wednesday nights.

Starting with ABC, viewers could check out a less-bionic Lee Majors portraying a Hollywood stuntman on The Fall Guy, then see what the dastardly Carrington clan was up to on the fourth season of the nighttime soap opera, Dynasty, featuring the late, great John Forsythe:

Over on CBS, fans of teen heartthrob Scott Baio were likely to warm up with a little Charles in Charge. Following the one formally known as “Chachi” were two long-running sitcoms, each sadly in their last season – The Jeffersons and Alice.

NBC started with a wholesome dose of Michael Landon in his series, Highway to Heaven, followed by Tootie, Blaire and the gang on the hit sitcom, The Facts of Life, now in its 5th season. (As an aside, we’ll go ahead and apologize ahead of time, in the event the theme song in the video below should get stuck in your head for the rest of the day):

So as you reflect upon the Wednesday night network programming of yesteryear, we want to hear what channel you were most likely tuned into. Share your childhood memories of your favorite Wednesday night shows that aired 25 years ago with all of us at Retroland.
